Best Kept Village Competition

The Piddington and Wheeler End Parish has been entered in the Bucks Best Kept Village Competition 2024.

We will be judged on ‘Best Kept’ and not ‘Beautiful’ and need everyone to help to win the Gurney Cup for the community.

This can be as simple as picking up three bits of litter every time you go for a walk, keeping hedges trimmed or even planting a hanging basket outside your house.

We have plenty to be proud about – the allotments, daffodils, cherry trees, oak tree and wild flower areas on Piddington Green; the laid hedge beside the playground; wild flowers on Chipps Hill; shrubs and the War Memorial on Wheeler End Common.

Judging takes place between 1st June and 14th July. Let’s see if we can beat the ‘Highly Commended’ which was our best ever finish.

Please contact our Parish Clerk, Hayley Glasgow, clerk@piddingtonandwheelerend.org.uk if you have any questions or comments.
